A hike on foot in Aidu is an adventurous mountain and desert hike which includes conquering obstacles in the water. The hike is 9 km long and lasts up to 4 hours. It can also be arranged during the night. Aidu is located in the Ida-Viru County, on the edge of big forests. The unique 34 km2 hiking area is a former mining area where reclamation is in process. In the recovered quarries, long blue fjords run between the mountains which resemble polar landscapes. Because the area is surrounded by large forests, bears, elks, bucks, and wild boars can be encountered there.
